Πως χρησιμοποιείται:
Εσωτερικά* η ρίζα ως αφέψημα: σιγοβράζουμε 1 κουταλάκι του τσαγιού σε 1 φλιτζάνι νερό για περίπου 10′. Πίνουμε 2-3 φορές την ημέρα για πεπτικά έλη και ελκώδη κολίτιδα.
Τα φύλλα του Σύμφυτου ωε έγχυμα: 1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού φύλλα σε ένα φλιτζάνι βρασμένο νερο για 10′.
Εξωτερικά το χρησιμοποιούμε ως κατάπλασμα για επούλωση πληγών, πόνους και τραυματισμούς. Ανακατεύουμε κονιορτοποιημένη ρίζα με λίγο νερό, δημιουργώντας μία πάστα.Εφαρμόζουμε τοπικά χρησιμοποιώντας
μια καθαρή γάζα.
Ιδιαίτερες προφυλάξεις:
*Αποφεύγουμε την υπερβολική εσωτερική κατανάλωση γιατί το σύμφυτο περιέχει επικίνδυνα αλκαλοειδή (pyrrolizidine). Πριν την εσωτερική χρήση του Σύμφυτου συμβουλευόμαστε έναν ειδικό.
Η τοπική χρήση να γίνεται σε καθαρισμένα τραύματα επειδή η ταχεία επούλωση μπορεί να εγκλωβίσει ρύπους ή πύον.
