Το Αδίαντο (Adiantum capillus-veneris), γνωστό και ως Πολυτρίχι, Μαλλόχορτο, Καλλίτριχο ή Φίτσι του νερού, είναι ένα παραδοσιακό βότανο με διουρητικές και τονωτικές ιδιότητες για το τριχωτό της κεφαλής. Χρησιμοποιείται κυρίως για την ενίσχυση των θυλάκων των μαλλιών και την αντιμετώπιση της τριχόπτωσης, συμβάλλοντας στη βελτίωση της υγείας του τριχωτού και της φυσικής ανάπτυξης της τρίχας.
Παράλληλα, το αδίαντο αξιοποιείται για παθήσεις του αναπνευστικού, όπως καταρροή και βρογχίτιδα, χάρη στη μαλακτική και αποχρεμπτική του δράση. Το έγχυμα του φυτού μπορεί να καταναλωθεί εσωτερικά αλλά και να χρησιμοποιηθεί εξωτερικά με πλύσεις στο τριχωτό της κεφαλής, που αποτελεί και την κύρια παραδοσιακή του χρήση.
Για την παρασκευή, χρησιμοποιείται 1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού σε 1 φλιτζάνι νερό για περίπου 10 λεπτά. Πίνεται 2-3 φορές την ημέρα ή εφαρμόζεται τοπικά με πλύσεις στο τριχωτό.
