Πως χρησιμοποιείται:
τα φύλλα ως έγχυμα: μισό με ένα κουταλάκι του γλυκού σε ένα φλιτζάνι βρασμένο νερό για 10′. Πίνουμε έως 3 φορές την ημέρα (έως 6 φορές την ημέρα για την αντιμετώπιση της διάρροιας και αυτό έως 2 ημέρες)
ο καρπός τρώγεται ωμός ή αποξηραμένος (20-60 γρ. καρπών φρέσκων την ημέρα ή 15-30 γρ. αποξηραμένο)
Ιδιαίτερες προφυλάξεις:
Θεωρείται γενικά ασφαλής η χρήση του μύρτιλλου. Άτομα με εγκατσετημένο διαβήτη ΙΙ και ειδικά όσοι λαμβάνουν ινσουλίνη, θα πρέπει να συμβουλευτούν τον γιατρό τους πριν κάνουν χρήση φύλλων ή καρπού μύρτιλλου.
