Βασικές Ιδιότητες: Ανοίγει την όρεξη, αποτρέπει το φούσκωμα, αντισπασμωδικό, γαλακταγωγό.
Μαγειρική χρήση:
Χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως. Συνδυάζεται καλά με λαχανικά ιδιαιτέρως με κολοκύθια, παντζάρια και καρότα. Επίσης με σούπες, κιμά, λευκά τυριά, αυγά και μαρινάδες για ψάρι.
Θεραπευτική χρήση:
έχει παρόμοιες ιδιότητες με τον γλυκάνισο και το μάραθο και μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως χωνευτικό για την αντιμετώπιση του ένονου φουσκώματος (κυρίως τους σπόρους χρησιμοποιούμε).
Πως χρησιμοποιείται:
ως αφέψημα: 1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού σπόρους σε 1 φλιτζάνι νερό για περίπου 5-10′. Πίνουμε 2-3 φορές την ημέρα.
