Συνήθως χρησιμοποιούμε τον όρο Σιναμική για τα φύλλα τυου φυτού και τον όρο Σέννα για τους λοβούς/καρπούς του.
Βασικές Ιδιότητες: ισχυρό Καθαρτικό, διεγερτικό του εντέρου
Χρήσεις: για την θεραπεία της Δυσκοιλιότητας, προετοιμασία για εγχείρηση εντέρου.
Πως χρησιμοποιείται:
ως έγχυμα οι λοβοί (καρποί) ή τα φύλλα: Μουσκεύουμε 3-6 φύλλα/λοβούς σε ζεστό νερό για 6 ώρες,
Δρά μετά από 10-12 ώρες. Οπότε συνήθως το πίνουμε βράδυ για να δράσει το επόμενο πρωί.
Ιδιαίτερες προφυλάξεις:
Επειδή είναι ισχυρό δεγερτικό του εντέρου μπορεί να προκαλέσει κολικό πόνο. Μπορείτε να το συνδυάσετε με Τζίντζερ ή Μάραθόσπορο για την ύφεση των συμπτωμάτων.
Να χρησιμοποιείται για μικρό χρονικό διάστημα, το πολύ 10 ημέρες και κατόπιν να χρησιμοποιείται η διατροφή ή άλλα πιο ήπια και λιγότερο εθιστικά βότανα.
Η ασφάλεια της Σέννας κατά την διάρκεια της εγκυμοσύνης και του θηλασμού είναι αμφιλεγόμενη.
Να αποφεύγεται ειδικά το πρώτο τρίμηνο της εγκυμοσύνης.
Η Σέννα σεν συνιστάται σε παιδιά κάτω των 10 ετών.
Να μην γίνεται χρήση της Σέννας σε άτομα που πάσχουν από νόσο του Crohn, ελκώδη κολίτιδα, σκωληκοειδίτιδα, εντερικές παθήσεις
και κοιλιακούς πόνους.
