Θεραπευτική χρήση:
για δυσπεψία, διάρροια, καταπραύνει τις φλεγμονές του εντερικού συστήματος, ηρεμεί τα τεντωμένα νεύρα, για κολικούς, για προβλήματα της χολής, οι Άραβες χρησιμοποίησαν το έγχυμα δυόσμου και μέντας ως διεγερτικό της ερωτικής επιθυμίας.
Μαγειρική χρήση:

Πως χρησιμοποιείται:
ως έγχυμα: 1 κουταλάκι του γλυκού φύλλα δυόσμου σε 1 φλιτζάνι νερό για 10-15′
ως αφέψημα: βράστε 10 γρ. φύλλα σε 1 λίτρο νερό. Πίνετε 3 φλιτζάνια την ημέρα.
